¿Por qué Amalur?

Amalur es un nombre de origen vasco, con el que nuestros antepasados de aquellas tierras íberas llamaban a la Diosa, a la Madre Tierra. Parte del mito de Amalur es que el vientre de la Madre Tierra da a luz a Eguzki, la Sol y a Illargi, la Luna. Amalur creó a la Sol para gobernar el día dándonos su calor y su fuego. A la Amandrea Illargi la puso como soberana de la noche, guardiana de los misterios.

En el contexto del Yoga, el Sol y la Luna tienen un simbolismo espiritual, que a través de la práctica, de esa unión de opuestos, se alcanza el equilibrio de esas energías, también dentro de nosotros. El sol como aspecto de energía motivadora que anima a la vida y la tierra. La luna como el néctar de la conciencia que hay que expandir. Fuego y agua, pasión y emoción. Tierra y aire, cuerpo y mente.

Mi intención es honrar a la divinidad femenina, a la Madre Tierra en todos sus aspectos. Y ofrecer un espacio donde sentir, a través de las disciplinas con las que trabajo, el abrazo de Amalur que nos acoge en su cueva, dentro de su vientre, en su cuerpo que es la tierra misma y nuestro propio cuerpo.

Modern Yoga
Modern postural yoga consists largely but not exclusively of the practice of asanas. There were very few standing asanas before 1900. By 2012, there were at least 19 widespread styles from Ashtanga Yoga to Viniyoga. These emphasise different aspects including aerobic exercise, precision in the asanas, and spirituality in the Haṭha yoga tradition. For example, Bikram Yoga has an aerobic exercise style with rooms heated to 105 °F
